Really Excited For The New Device!  
First off, let me say that all the reviews that are complaining about the 0.7 megapixel camera on the back of the iPod is not meant to be for taking pictures that camera is meant for taking HD quality *VIDEO* Most people complain that they cant see what they're taking from the back, so it was reasonable to put the better camera on the front. Then the one where you can see what you're recording and take amazing HD quality. So i just wanted to clear that up.

The new processor is the same processor used in the iPad and iPhone 4 which I am also very excited for. My friend has the iPhone 4 while I was stuck with the iPod 2G and I did various speed tests, only for the iPhone 4 to beet me many, many times. So I am excited for that.

The retina display is another thing I'm excited for. It will have nice, crisp quality just as the iPhone 4 also whit the new 4.1 update, will be amazing.

It is also thinner which is not a huge deal for me but is still a nice perk. :D

The only thing that did almost make this a deal breaker was that it does not come in 16 GB's but that is fine considering its only 70 dollars for a 24 GB difference.

So overall I would rate this item 5 stars. I'm going to sell my iPod 2G for it and am very excited. Thank You. :D 

Apple iPod touch 8 GB (2nd Generation--with iPhone OS 3.1 Software Installed) [NEWEST MODEL] : the best ipod I've had

I was skeptical of switching over to this from my ipod shuffle, since I loved it small size. This thing is great though. I use the options like weather more than I thought I would, plus I love the app store. It's really ingenious what people are doing with this format. The thing I love most though is how it handles audio books from Audible. I love how you can select chapters and easily get through a book.

Nice storage capacity. Nice battery life. Also, operation of this ipod is the easiest of any I've had. Simply touch what you want. Fantastic!!

Apple iPod classic 160 GB Silver (7th Generation) NEWEST MODEL : Great Little Device!!!!

Ive Read a Few Negative Comments concerning The sound Quality of The 160 GB.I own an 80gb and The 120GB .I Did a Comparison Test of the three to see if there were any differences in sound Quality between the Three Ipods,there were none.all three had equal high quality sound.one must Remember that not all mp3,Cd's or any other Format Recording's are of the same Quality, some sound better than others and that is not the fault of the Player!I was Amazed to see how small compact and light the Newest 160 gb is, the ease of use and the same great features that is the trademark of Apple!if you like Music like I do The Purchase of an ipod is definitely an investment. imagine having the ability to carry your entire music library Everywhere and anywhere in such a small device is truly incredible!!
